Reaching to the urban slums -
Sukarya Sehat Centre

The slums are uniformly characterized by inadequate provision of basic infrastructure and public services necessary to sustain health, such as water, sanitation, and drainage. The Sukarya Sehat Centre functioning since 2005 in Sukarya’s premises at Sushant Lok is catering to the basic health needs of the population residing in such urban slums.

The facilities provided by the Sehat centre, include free medical check-up for the poor, provision of specialised diagnosis and free medicine. Referrals are also provided for specialized treatment as and when required. The centre also acts as an information and education centre that imparts health education and counselling services to the families in the project area.
