Mobile Health Diagnostic Clinic

Mobile Health Diagnostic Clinic (MHDC)

Hon’ble, Parliamentary Secretary, Government of Haryana,Shri Rao Dan Singh inaugurated the Mobile Health Diagnostic Clinic on 5th November, 2006, at Sukarya Sehat Mela.

About the project

The goal of the Mobile Health Diagnostic Clinic is to, Reach the Un-Reached and to Serve the Under-Served, to provide quality health care at the door steps, in areas where there is absence of health care or services are inaccessible, unaffordable or low quality.

The focus of the Mobile Health diagnostic clinic is on remote, rural regions of Haryana.

The main objective of the Mobile Diagnostic Health Clinic is to provide specific treatment after proper diagnosis at the early stages of any disease, unlike the treatment given on basis of sole judgment of the doctor ,due to lack of diagnostic facilities. This checks the disease from taking a serious form and leads to reduction in chances of morbidity and mortality.

The Mobile Health Clinic is equipped with diagnostic equipment like-

  • ECG
  • X-Ray Machine
  • Fully Functional Pathological Lab( blood, urine, stool tests)

The mobile clinic visits the villages at a fixed time and in a fixed place on a fortnightly basis, a munadi in the villages precedes the visit of the clinic .Two doctors, two lab technicians, one medicine dispenser, one project coordinator, one field supervisor, and ten volunteers go to the village with the clinic. The volunteers pay door to door visits in the village to generate awareness on health and to encourage people to come for health check ups. A temporary health clinic is setup on site and health checkups are done for all people who come to the clinic for treatment and advice. As per requirement, on the spot pathological tests and X-rays are done and reports are developed. Consistent follow up and counseling of all patients is done. Medicines are provided free of cost.
